Somehow I have no WIPs to share this week. I’ve finished everything I picked up this week, so either there is no progress at all or the project is complete and waiting for me to take pix and write a blog post for it. Nevertheless, I want to keep up the habit of this weekly update so here’s a quick look at the past week in my fiber crafting life.

Jamieson & Smith Color Card
Before I left for Baltimore, I ordered a Jamieson & Smith color card for their lace weight yarns. I have this fantasy of knitting a traditional wedding shawl using the Jamieson & Smith Shetland yarns. The color cards came while I was away.
Baltic Blue Quinn Bag
Against my better judgment, I stayed up until 11:00 pm Wednesday night, finishing up this Quinn Bag, even though I had to be up at 5:30 am so I could be out the door at 6:15 am to pick up my mother and head to the airport to attend my sister’s medical school graduation. I wanted to finish the project before I left because I was going to see the recipient. Technically, I could have brought it with me and finished it before she left on Saturday, but once I got started, I just kept going until I was done.
WIP Wednesday: May 21, 2014
In last week’s post, I told you I wasn’t sure what to bring with me as travel knitting while attending my sister’s graduation in Baltimore. I broke my general rules of travel knitting, and brought 6 skeins of yarn for 3 different projects. It’s a good thing, as I ended up having a lot more time to craft than I expected. I used part or all of 5 of the skeins, and worked on all 3 projects!
